Embrace Life

Embrace Life
Images © 1990-2008 Stampin' Up!

I created a card and gift item for my mom to extend to her boss to continue to show her support after the services have commenced. I find in supporting a friend or loved one who has suffered a great loss... it is important to show support for a long period of time. Initially it seems as though there is a great deal of support prior to and shortly following services, but the grieving process is such a lengthy one that it never hurts to find little ways to show your continued support. I thought this card and box of chocolates would be a great gift to leave on the principals desk (my mom works at an elementary school).

Its no Monday, but this Mojo Monday Sketch #20 was just to fabulous to pass up! Absolutely Fabulous Julee, to see the sketch click here. I find myself in anticipation of Monday... I cannot wait to see next week's sketch!
Project Details
Stamps: Embrace Life, Brighter Tomorrow
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, River Rock, Groovy Guava, Ruby Red, Gingerblossom Designer Series Paper
Ink: Timber Stazon, River Rock, Groovy Guava, Ruby Red
Other: Key Tag Punch, Word Window Punch, 1/4" Circle Punch, Misc Ribbon and Cording, Gold Fabric Glitter Spray

More Details: I stamped random flower images with River Rock Classic Ink on the River Rock cardstock for a monochromatic effect. I water colored the flowers and blushed the cardstock with Groovy Guava and a sponge. I used the same images and ribbons to add a little flare to the box of chocolates.

Both your card and the chocolates should lift the spirits! That set is getting to be one of my favorites. Somehow, I never thought to stamp more than one of the flower stem...

I couldn't agree with you more! There is always someone around when a loss first occurs and often times the grief process doesn't start immediately. It's in the quiet hours a few weeks/months later that the grief really sets in.

I applaud your thoughtfulness!

Many Blessings,
M.

What a sweet gesture. So often at a time like this people are swarmed with visitors, calls and cards and then a week goes by and no visits no cards no calls. That's when it's needed the most. This is just a wonderful thing to do!
