Embossed Foreground.... Only Shown on the Blog!!

I wanted to thank all of my subscribers with a special peak at my Embossed Foreground technique class. We will be creating a 6x6 technique page and these two cards. I will not be uploading these images anywhere else... a special treat just for you! These projects were designed in the spring of 06 and I just haven't had a chance to use them yet, my stampers will be doing this class later this month.

The first card features the Love Without End stamp set. The colors for this card are Night of Navy and Whisper White. The background is what makes this technique ... the background consists of several images. Starting first with the Canvas background stamped in brocade blue ink. Then the Bitty Blossoms background stamped in night of navy craft ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The tabs were created using the word window punch, ribbon is navy grosgrain ribbon and the faux stitching was added using a white gel pen.

The second card features the Petal Prints stamp set and coordinating wheel. The background starts with the By Definition background stamp in chocolate chip ink. The flowers and leaves were stamped with Brocade Blue and Night of Navy craft ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a sponge and applied chocolate chip using the emboss resist technique to add color to the background. Again, word window punch for the tab, and chocolate grosgrain ribbon to finish it off.
