Petal Prints and Stampin Pastels

Petal Prints and Stampin Pastels

This is one of my favorite floral stamp sets. I love everything about the images and have used them time and time again. This stamp set will be showcasing the 3 step poppin pastels technique at my class this next week.

Technique Tips: I was first introduced to this technique at Convention 06 and instantly fell in love... prior to this technique chalks were not something I used often in my stamping projects. To achieve this look, simply stamp the base image (in this case French Script) in Versamark and apply chalk. Add second layer of stamped images using Versmark (in this case the leaves from Petal Prints) and apply chalk again. Finally add a third layer of images in Versmark (flower from Petal Prints) and apply chalk. Seal Chalk. Both cards feature similar products, however the second card features Sketch Challenge 82 from SCS. You can find more details about this sketch challenge by clicking here.

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Prints, Circle of Friendship
Cardstock: Basic Black, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Whisper White
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black, Pale Plum
Other: Olive organdy ribbon, silver cording, silver brads, vintage brads, stampin pastels
Techniques: 3 Step Poppin Pastels, Faux Paper Piercing
